While Dallas-Fort Worth swims in the set of steakhouses, the city of Plano doesn’t have many. Here to the rescue comes Eddie Vknown for its steaks, seafood and theatrical cocktails, opens a location at 5300 State Highway 121, corner of Preston Road, with its fine dining, glamour, vibrant atmosphere and live music.
According to a statement, it will open on August 18.
Eddie V’s was founded in 2000 in Austin by Guy Villavaso and Larry Foles, then acquired by Darden Restaurants in 2011. It is currently headquartered in Orlando, Florida, and has 28 locations including seven in Texas: in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston. , and San Antonio — all cities where CultureMap has an office. Eddie V’s, we feel good about you, even though we’re probably not launching a CultureMap in Plano.
Although Eddie does steak, they are heavy on their seafood. Dishes are artistically plated and feature seasonal seafood served at its peak.

Branded items including Hong Kong-style steamed Chilean sea bass, Parmesan sole and crab fried rice.
Their drink menu is called Cocktails With Attitude, featuring eye-catching cocktails that are poured with a theatrical twist. For instance:
- The Smoked Old Fashioned is set on fire next to a table on a wooden board and the smoke is captured in a glass
- The Hope Diamond changes color from deep blue to magenta
A sprawling all-glass wine tower houses the restaurant’s selection of wines and champagnes from over 300 renowned labels.
The entertainment element is also important: each location has a V Lounge, ready for a night out on the town, with performances by local musicians on select nights.
Located near the Preston Village shopping center, the restaurant spans 10,701 square feet and includes four private dining rooms. The dining room is open for dinner daily from 5:00 p.m. The V Lounge opens at 4 p.m.
Dinner hours are Sunday 5-9pm, Monday-Thursday 5-10pm, and Friday-Saturday 5:11pm. Reservations are recommended but not required.
