A three-day BBQ Festival is scheduled for AT&T Stadium in Arlington on November 4, 5, and 6, 2022.
Q BBQ Fest is “America’s Greatest BBQ Festival”, they say – held at the home of the USA team, the Dallas Cowboys.
“No one knows barbecue like Texas, and we can’t wait to welcome the best cooks from across the country right here in our backyard,” Dallas Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said in a statement. communicated.
Q Fest is or was held at other NFL stadiums as well: Kansas City in May; Denver in June; and in Jacksonville, Florida in late November. He has also been to St. Louis in the past.
The event’s owner and CEO claims that North Texas is “the barbecue capital of the world.” And he’s right: we said the best barbecue town right now is Fort Worth, just west of Arlington.
During this massive event, 30,000 pounds of brisket, pork and chicken are expected to be smoked.
At least 10 pitmasters will visit from all over the country. Arlington’s are so far unnamed, but Kansas City and Denver pitmasters have included Barrett Black (Black’s BBQ in Lockhart, Texas); Esaul Ramos and Joe Melig (2M Smokehouse in San Antonio); Leslie Roark Scott (BBQ Ubons in Mississippi); and Phil “The Grill” Johnson (Trapp Haus in Phoenix).
The festival will also feature live music, although names have not been announced.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on August 26, 2022 at QBBQDallas.com and seatgeek.com. Tickets are $15 for attendees ages 12 and up, and food is on sale afterward inside the venue. All-you-can-eat passes start at $129.
