Four more Houston restaurants will soon be in the Diners, drive-in and dives projector. The Food Network has revealed episodes and air dates that feature places that host Guy Fieri visited on a trip to Houston in April.
- Fresco Cafe Italiano as part of “Cookin ‘From Scratch” on Friday September 3rd at 8pm
- Weight + Measures as part of “Cookin ‘From Scratch” on Friday September 3 at 8 pm
- Be More Pacific as part of “Domestic & Abroad” (broadcast date to be confirmed)
- “An empanada empire” (probably The Original Marini’s Empanada House) as part of “Fresh From Flavortown” on Friday September 3rd at 9pm.
Fieri’s visit to Montrose’s restaurant, Traveler’s Table, first aired on August 13 as part of an episode titled “Mouth-Watering Meat.” Chef’s other Houston stops are yet to be aired, including The Toasted Coconut, The Pit Room, and a return visit to Kenny & Ziggy’s.
Weight + Measures will accommodate a watch the party September 3 from 7 to 9 p.m., which will feature some of the dishes Fieri tried during check-in – expect the signature carrot pizza – as well as drink specials.
In addition to filming TV episodes, Fieri also prepared a special birthday dinner for TV actor Lee Majors, star of The Six Million Dollar Man and The right guy. The chef also honored the “Dives” part of his show’s title by stopping for a drink at Lola’s Depot in Montrose.
