Marble Falls Brewery offers free shots and beers on May 15

Free beers and vaccines
The Marble Falls brewery, Save the World Brewing Co., hosts a COVID-19 vaccination clinic This weekend. Those who receive the free vaccine will receive a free pint of beer. It takes place on Saturday, May 15 from noon to 5 p.m., and appointments are not necessary. The brewery is located at 1510 Resource Parkway.

The Far South Austin Bar and Lounge also hosts a vaccination event This weekend. The event will focus on the distribution of 2,000 Pfizer snapshots and is open to people 16 years of age and older. Appointment can be done (currently only 1:45 p.m. is available), the site accepts walk-in tours. It takes place on Saturday May 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bakery products for mental health awareness
the Central Texas Branch of National Awareness on Mental Health is hosting the Depressed Cake Shop again in May as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. Participating bakeries will offer themed articles to encourage conversations about mental health. In the Austin area, This includes Wells Branch spot Dream Bakery, vegan and gluten-free bakery Zucchini Kill, South Austin Confituras store, among others. It runs until Monday, May 31.

Best Yelp Restaurants in Texas
Yelp published its list of the 100 best restaurants in the state for the year. Number one is the San Antonio restaurant Comfort coffee. The highest in Austin is the El Pasoan Jewish restaurant, Jewboy Burgers, at number seven. The list was determined by the number of reviews as well as ratings dated January 2016 through April 16, 2021.

Quick and relaxed chain restaurant opens
Hawaiian Bros. fast food chain restaurant opens. his first physical restaurant in Kyle, Texas earlier this week at 20471 I-35 starting May 11. The menu focuses on Hawaiian platters with dishes such as chicken huli huli, pig luau, spam musubi, macaroni salad, and sweet serve Dole. Co-founders and brothers Cameron and Tyler McNei opened the restaurant in Kansas City in 2018. The company has been operating in Texas as a ghost kitchen business since 2020.

Expansion of the juice chain
California-based Pressed Juicery has opened a second location in Austin. The new store is located at 4800 Burnet Road, Suite 410 in the Rosedale area as of May 13. The menu includes cold-pressed juices, shots, smoothies, vegan dishes, acai bowls, and more. The company opened its first Austin store in the area last year.

New beer design
San Antonio-based Pearl Beer has a new slim box for its Pearl xXx beer that debuted last year, designed by creative agency Austin Guerilla Suit. Parent company Pearl Brewing Company has also launched a website in conjunction with the Texas Food & Wine Alliance. Good times will showcase different restaurants, bars and people close to Texas each month
