This week on Texas Eats, David Elder visits historic and haunted restaurants in the San Antonio area.

David’s first stop is at a small town cafe, Fluff’s White House, in downtown Floresville. He visits the haunted floor and whets the appetite for overdone burgers!

Next, David takes us to a Puerto Rican restaurant on the south side of San Antonio and tastes plantains and traditional mofongo. He chats with the owner, Iris Ornelas, about the popularity of Cuban sandwiches in Puerto Rico.

David then heads to Austin for a spooky spin around one of Austin’s oldest remaining buildings at Moonshine Grill. After the scares, David enjoys cocktails and starters with his friend and whiskey lover, Joe Nguyen!

Next, David heads north to Dallas to hang out at the Texas State Fair and sample some insane Fair Trade food!

After that, David takes us to HE-B’s new BBQ spot, True Texas BBQ, in New Braunfels. It pairs Shiner beer, brisket and sides with pit master, Randy Evans.

This is a fun episode of Texas Eats you definitely don’t want to miss!
