1. 5 fantastic Dallas-Fort Worth summer getaways with just one tank of gas. High gas prices, expensive plane tickets, airport headaches and expensive car rental fees make planning trips a little more difficult this summer. But a postcard-worthy family vacation is just a tank of gas away, thanks to scenic resorts and parks a short drive from Dallas to Fort Worth.

2. Tik Tok stuntman Ryan Bean jumps off the bridge into Dallas’ Trinity River. A Tik Tok star did something most in Dallas would never be caught doing: jump into the Trinity River. Ryan Bean, a Utah native famous for his stunts, backflips and daring leaps, dove off a bridge in Dallas and landed in Trinity below. The jump was documented on Instagram.

3. Teppo, a Dallas staple, is closing for a new restaurant by the famed sushi chef. After 27 years, longtime Japanese restaurant Teppo on Greenville Avenue has closed. A minute of silence. But the space is already set to become a new sushi restaurant from credentialed chef Jimmy Park, owner of Japanese restaurant Shoyo next door, which has come under fire since opening in 2021.

4. The Academy of Country Music Awards are returning to the Dallas area at another Cowboys home. The next Academy of Country Music Awards will be held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards will mark a return to Texas for the first time since the 50th anniversary. ACM Awards, held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington in 2015.

5. Kroger offers take-out delivery with food from 8 Dallas restaurants. Dallas has a new option for meals on the go or delivered to your door: Called Kitchen United MIX, it’s from a California-based company that provides a platform for local restaurants to do takeout and delivery. and it’s now open inside the Kroger Supermarket at 5665 E. Mockingbird Ln.
