After finding success in Frisco, a boutique bakery brings its cookies to Addison.
Cookie Society is opening a new location in Village on the Parkway, and if all goes according to plan, it will be open at the end of March.
Co-owner Jeff Allen, who spoke to The Dallas Morning News about the second location while dealing with an electrical issue at the site, said supply chain issues and construction delays have pushed their schedule back several times and could push it back again.
“I’m hesitant to even put a date on it,” Allen said. “If we can resolve this issue, we hope to be open by the end of March.”
He and his wife Marissa Allen opened Cookie Society in April 2020 and have since caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey, who has included the cookies from the bakery on her list of favorite things for the holidays.
Their baked-to-order cookies come in an ever-changing slew of flavors, from King Cake to strawberries and cream. One Sunday a month they sell cinnamon rolls which generate a line of customers at the door.
The Allens chose Addison for their second location due to their location’s proximity to Frisco and the concentration of activity in the area.
“I think there will be a lot of foot traffic here,” Allen said. “People come out to hang out in this neighborhood and go to shops and restaurants, and we hope to be part of that.”
Cookie Society is scheduled to open at 5100 Belt Line Road, Suite 830, Addison in March 2022.
