This luxury home in the Dallas Design District features open living space and a commercial option

This hidden home in Dallas’ Design District offers luxury finishes and design elements, but you’d never guess it from the sidewalk view. The 5,592 square foot home is its own compound with gated access, four-car garages, an outdoor patio, and skyline views. To top it off, it also backs up to the levee along the Trinity River.

The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Listing agent Henda Salmeron of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate said the home was originally two separate units, but sellers reconfigured it to create one space. Now, the interior has several living areas arranged in an open concept.

Salmeron said that because the property is zoned as commercial property, it could be used for multiple purposes such as a club, restaurant or business. She said that many creatives in the area design spaces like this to have a studio on one side of the building and their residence on the other.

“Because of the commercial area, he leans very well into that life-work combo,” Salmeron said.

There are two entrances to the house, one leading to the media room and another leading to the main living area. The home’s living areas, which include a breakfast room and exercise room, have an open concept. If you stand in the media room at one end, you can see all the way through the dining room to the kitchen and additional living areas.

The kitchen has a large L-shaped island with a bespoke walnut wood bar. The cabinets are white oak and the countertops are quartz. You’ll find a Wolf stove with six burners and two ovens, as well as a Sub-Zero refrigerator and two additional 400-bottle wine refrigerators.

The two living spaces of the house are side by side and one of the spaces is raised by a platform.

The master suite is found just past these living rooms through a set of tall doors with glass windows. The suite has a dressing room and a bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and a marble shower.

The house’s dining room has a custom 10-and-a-half-foot dining table that Salmeron says can stay with the house. The adjacent bar has two more 400 bottle wine fridges, an ice maker and a beverage cooler. The media room has a fireplace and built-in speakers, as well as enough space for a pool table (which will be included with the property).

The two additional bedrooms in the house are located on the first level. There is another room upstairs which could be used as an office.

The house is on the market for $4,500,000.

It’s part of our Chic properties series, offering a peek inside beautiful North Texas homes for those who enjoy looking at homes. It is not paid for or presented by real estate agents or companies in the area.
